CRUSH - KONA cotton solids: 2023 Color of the Year
Have you seen the new color by KONA cotton solids from Robert Kaufman Fabrics? It’s a bit of a pinkish red color and absolutely gorgeous! I had the privilege to play with it before releasing and made a simply modern version of FALL BLOOMING quilt.
Originally FALL BLOOMING pattern didn’t include this version but the opportunity came up before finalizing the pattern, and I decided to include this simply modern version.
Here is the KONA cotton colors I used:
Fabric 1 - CRUSH (2023 Color of the Year) 1 - 3/4 yard
Fabric 2 - Butterscotch (K001-349) 1/4 yard
Fabric 3 - Sangria (K001-481) 2 yards
Cornerstones - Punch (K001-447) 1/4 yard
Background - Creamsicle (K001-185) 2 yards
Binding – CRUSH (2023 Color of the Year) 1/2 yard
Backing - Peony (K001-110) 4 yards
Quilted by Mary, the shop owner Quilted Ewe on a BERNINA Q24 longarm. I don’t know the quilting design name but I selected this one because it looked like cotton flower and I thought it would look pretty on a FALL BLOOMING quilt.
