GHOST OWL (CRIB) - Kona Cotton version

This one was so much fun to make! I wanted to create a colorful version of the Ghost Owl quilt. Now I wish I had made the throw size because I love it so much!

 

 

It’s always a delight to work with Kona Cotton (Robert Kaufman Fabrics). I used Teal Blue for the first time and absolutely loved it! It created the perfect night sky for the full moon.

 

Fabric colors used:

  • FABRIC GROUP 1: (3) FQ (Sage, Primrose and Peapod)

  • FABRIC GROUP 2: (3) FE (Roasted Pecan, Geranium and Punch)

  • FABRIC 3: 1/8 yard - Gotham Grey

  • FABRIC 4: 1/2 yard - White

  • FABRIC 5: (1) FE - Torch

  • FABRIC 6: 3/8 yard - Grellow 

  • FABRIC 7: 1/4 yard - Shadow

  • Background: 1 5/8 yard - Tail Blue

  • Binding: Sage
  • Backing: Gold

  

 

I used WonderFil Master Quilter (color: MQ20) 40wt quilting thread for machine quilting. It has a beautiful shine, a gorgeous color, and is a strong, durable thread. I really enjoyed machine quilting with it!
