PLAY HOUSE: Baby quilt with multiple colors
I had an opportunity to make a baby quilt and donate it to the local quilt group, Kent Quilters, to help raise money for the firehouse. I used to be a member of the group, but I stepped back to focus on my business. However, I’ve continued to donate quilts and handmade items once or twice a year when asked. The ladies in the group work so hard together to support the local community through quilting, and I’m honored to play a small role in helping them!
I knew I wanted to make a baby boy quilt when I was asked to donate one. I picked up the cute backing fabric while we were in Maine for spring break. I couldn’t decide what to make until the deadline approached, even though I had two patterns in mind: Play House and Checkerboard Dance Floor. In the end, I decided to make a Play House baby quilt (Finished size 42in square) using different colors for each block. Since the pattern doesn't include that version or a baby size, I adapted it to create this quilt.
