This quilt pattern is made by Satomi Hoar of Satomi Quilts.
Inspired by penguins waddling around in cozy knit scarves and pompom hats, this quilt is perfect for a winter sewing project — or maybe all year round!
The Winter Waddle quilt is traditionally pieced and is recommended for intermediate quilters and above, as each 12 inch block includes many pieces to cut and sew.
The instructions include:
- Two full quilt sizes using 12" square blocks: crib (44″ × 58″) and throw (57″ × 70″)
- Cutting tables for making a single block in two sizes: 12 inch square and 24 inch square
- Step by step instructions with detailed diagrams
- Technique: traditional piecing
